Queensland’s trusted voice for people with disabilities and their families
Parent to Parent’s journey began with a simple yet powerful idea: no parent should have to navigate the complexities of disability support and information alone.
Since 1998, Parent to Parent Queensland (P2P) has supported people with intellectual disabilities and their families across Queensland. We provide peer support, advocacy, NDIS plan management, tailored and group skills sessions, and future planning through programs like P.A.T.H.
The P2P story is personal. We started when a small group of parents came together to form their own support network. Today, our team includes people with disabilities and parents or family members of people with disabilities. We understand your journey because we've walked it too.
We provide services and opportunities to people with intellectual disabilities and support families across the Sunshine Coast, Fraser Coast & Hinkler, Central Queensland, Moreton Bay and Brisbane.
How we work
At P2P, we treat people with disabilities and their families with respect. We don't judge your decisions. We listen, we support, and we go above and beyond to deliver services that fit your life, your goals, and your family.
As Queensland’s Agency for Inclusion Australia, the national peak body for people with intellectual disabilities, we bring local care with national strength. Our CEO serves as a Director on the Inclusion Australia Board, and we're the leading organisation for rolling out statewide projects for people with intellectual disabilities.
