About Parent to Parent

Parent to Parent’s journey began with a simple yet powerful idea: no parent should have to navigate the complexities of disability support and information alone.

For over 28 years, Parent to Parent Queensland (P2P) has been a trusted voice and advocate within the disability community across Queensland. The P2P story is personal. We started when a small group of parents came together to form their own support network.

Today, our team includes people with disability and parents or family members of people with disabilities. We understand your journey because we've walked it too.

Since our inception, we have championed the rights, voices, and choices of people with disability and their families. Through our networks, we work to ensure people with disability can participate fully as valued members of their community.

We support your choices, uphold your rights and facilitate successful life transitions. Our work is underpinned by lived experience, and our goal is to equip people with disability and their families with the tools they need to navigate every life stage with confidence.

We provide peer support, advocacy, information and referral, NDIS plan management, tailored and group skills sessions, and future planning through programs like P.A.T.H.

We are extremely proud to now provide valuable supports, services and opportunities to people with disability and families across the Sunshine Coast, Fraser Coast and Hinkler, Central Queensland, Moreton Bay and Brisbane regions.
