Better health care for people with intellectual disability

At Loud and Clear Qld’s meeting on the 19th November, members were pleased to have guest speaker Julia Hawkins from the National Centre of Excellence in Intellectual Disability Health, known as ‘The Centre’.

The Centre’s work is to make sure that people with intellectual disability get better health care.  Julia is currently travelling around Australia as part of the Community Connections Tour.  She attended the Loud and Clear Qld meeting to hear about good experiences with health care.  Unfortunately, we didn’t have a lot of time, but we did get to share and listen to stories and be part of activities about health care.

If you would like to learn more or get involved, you can take a look at the NCEIDH website  or contact Julia via email.
