Self Advocacy in Action
Loud and Clear QLD is a self-advocacy group for people with intellectual disabilities across Queensland.
Members of all ages meet regularly to speak up, share ideas, and lead meaningful change in their communities. Since beginning in 2015, many of our original members remain actively involved, proving the strength and impact of authentic self-advocacy leadership.
Loud and Clear QLD is supported by P2P through an Information, Linkage and Capacity building grant.
A member of Loud and Clear QLD is elected to represent Queensland on Our Voice, an official committee of the Inclusion Australia Board. Our Voice gives advice to the board to make sure the voices of people with an intellectual disability are listened to.
Loud and Clear QLD groups meet in Central Queensland (Gladstone), Fraser Coast and the Sunshine Coast.
Loud and Clear QLD members actively participate in key disability advocacy initiatives like Disability Royal Commission, Having a Say Conference, National Disability Services – Staying Safe Forums, NDIS Review and the Sunshine Coast Council’s Action and Inclusion Coordination Meetings, Inclusion Action Plan and All-Access Day at the Beach.
