“Even though the wording of our mission and vision have changed over the years, our purpose hasn’t”.
Judy Young, Board Member.

Our Mission Statement has changed over the last 25 years, however, each version has remained consistent with the reason the organisation was founded – “To provide support to parents of a person with a disability”.
Working in consultation with our Board, staff and members, we would review and refine the statement to ensure it was current and reflected changes and developments in the disability sector.
However, throughout all of the changes to the wording, we have remained firm in our belief that parents are best supported by parents with lived experience.
This belief has, and will continue to shape our work, our strategic goals and our values as we look to the future and whatever the next version of our mission statement is.
Below are the mission statements that have been adopted and delivered throughout the past 25 years
