Co-designed workshops helping people with intellectual disability plan a future in employment.
Supported Employment and Advocacy delivers co-designed workshops and employment planning sessions for people with intellectual disability, their families and supporters. Developed in partnership with the people who use them, these sessions provide clear, accessible information so participants can make informed choices about their employment journey.
Finding the right pathway into work can be overwhelming, especially when the system itself is hard to navigate. This initiative helps to break that down so that it is easier to understand, helping people understand their employment options, know their employment rights, and confidently navigate employment support systems.
Workshops also cover practical essentials like what Inclusive Employment Australia is, who can access it, participation requirements, and how to choose a provider that’s the right fit.
Informed choice is the foundation of good employment outcomes. When people with intellectual disability and their families have clear, accessible information, they’re better equipped to plan ahead, advocate for their rights, and make decisions that lead to real, meaningful work.
