Why this request is appropriate

The guidance in plain language

Bringing funding forward is different from delaying a claim.

Funding from a future period is not automatically available before that period opens. Once a later period has opened, a delayed claim may be considered.

A delayed claim requires care and agreement.

If there is sufficient funding within the same plan, the participant and provider may agree to claim in a later period after considering remaining support needs and known commitments.

Payment is not guaranteed.

The claim must still meet the plan, relevant component and total funding limits, section 45 payment criteria, claim timeframes and the usual NDIS requirements.
